Do you need special training on ICU equipment for an early mobility program?

We have received extensive education on ventilators, modes of mechanical ventilation, and various medical devices.  However, a lot of that has been done on our own. We do not have special training regarding equipment management. We have now incorporated much of that information into our own therapy services competencies. We make all of our newer graduates and newer therapists within the institution participate in things like that to make people safer. A lot of what we have learned has been on our own, and using the multidisciplinary team. They have been crucial in gaining a better understanding of the medical picture, so we are better up to speed.
