As the leader of a hospital AAT/AAA program and OT clinical supervisor, it was helpful to hear experts in the field discuss content matter in a relatable and digestible way. I found the recommendation about having a little "animal profile" that includes rules of engagement very helpful. I also really appreciated the emphasis and attention to animal welfare. To improve the course, more systematic discussion of how to implement trainings and internal CEUs would have been helpful.

I really liked the practical components, like advocating for your dog and ensuring they have the option to leave. It also opened my eyes to realize you shouldn't be working a dog for too long during the day.

This was such an excellent course! Both instructors were great and I am so excited about animal assisted therapy. This is something I have been interested for myself for quite some time and I did not realize how easy it was to get started. I feel more confident in researching this topic more and I know how therapeutic animals can be. The course is excellent and very straightforward!

I love that this is an area of need. I am an avid animal lover and love how animals can impact patient performance. Whether it be outside in nature or inside an SNF. Kids and adults have a known love for animals and it will motivate and encourage individuals when performing activities that they may find difficult of challenging.

Good introduction and ideas for resources given. Taking this course made me realize that there is much more involved in any animal assisted interventions and therapies than I realized. I would like to know more about the different categories. For example- I am aware of the expenses and extensive training required for a dog to become a "therapy" dog, but what are some good introductory references for those of us who want an "entry level" dog that is well behaved and can be used as a "visitor."

Phoebe's presentation style and quality of voice could be improved.... I didn't feel like she was talking to me.... I think many of her words and sentences ended on an up-note, which is kind of like asking a question, or presenting something uncertain. Perhaps she can think of presenting as just talking to a person, even if it's a group of people, or online/zoom, or whatever. Maybe that would help...

I had no idea where to start with AAT, and this gave me an excellent base to begin training and preparing for AAT. There are so many ways a therapy dog could be an asset to a therapy session. I loved the structured approach- steps to lead up to adding an animal to practice. The PP slides did a good job of condensing and consolidating the info for the steps. Thank you for the info and ideas for treatment.
