Samantha Heidenreich earned her Masters and Doctorate degrees in Occupational Therapy from the University of St Augustine for Health Sciences in San Marcos, California. Her doctorate capstone focused on feeding and nutritional interventions for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. She has spent all of her post graduate profession in pediatric settings, with focus on various forms of assessment and intervention for children with feeding disorders, picky eating behaviors, swallowing dysfunction, and orofacial myofunctional disorders. Samantha is certified in multiple specialized areas of practice related to feeding and nutrition, including Beckman Oral Motor Protocol, SOS Approach to Feeding, AEIOU Systematic Approach to Feeding, and has just completed the initial coursework to obtain her Certification in Orofacial Myology from the IAOM. She is a Certified Holistic Nutritionist and completed the AOTA certification in Nutrition, Chronic Disease, and Health Promotion. Samantha currently works providing continuing education courses on topics related to pediatric feeding and owns a private pediatric practice in North Carolina.
