A lot of the information about the impact of nature on mood and health to me is common sense, I did not really learn so much. It was interesting to hear studies cited on this topic, though

I share the opinions of the presenter. When treating the "whole person" outdoor spaces should not be ignored for their restorative value, yet are under utilized in traditional OT practices.

The speaker provided an excellent array of resources and relevant research as to why and how OT is relevant in nature. Very helpful in thinking outside of the box of our traditional healthcare services and how OT could branch out into different areas.

At the SNF where I work, we have two beautiful enclosed courtyards filled with trees, plants, container flowers and shade. However some of the resident enjoy going to the front of the building to see the horizon and the beautiful farm lands. But I guess enclosed outdoor courtyards are better than nothing. This was a good course and it gave some good reference material to further look into. Nature is beneficial for everyone.

I'm glad that Gina brought attention to this modality as I also believe being outdoors is beneficial to all ages in many areas. It was difficult to stay engaged with the course as Gina was speaking in monotone, did not have enough slides to maintain interest, and the gaps in speaking while staying on the same screen (with a few sentences) did not elicit enthusiasm.

In general just like the course states I feel like we have seen such an increase in disease processes, behavioral issues etc since the introduction and prolonged access/use of technology especially with younger ones. I can see it in my own children and using technology as a crutch sometimes. It was easy to follow, a great topic area and gave detailed information.
