I enjoyed learning about feeding progression, parasympathetic responses, and behavioral communication. It was helpful to see how different developmental stages impact feeding skills, how the nervous system regulates the body's responses and the best ways to acknowledge behavioral communication.

There is a lot of information to consider in the evaluation process built around communication and I will now be more cognizant of this . . . I work with individuals (mostly young/older adults with disabilities and often with behaviors that have gone on for longer periods of time - perhaps without the attentive focus it deserves with regard to making a difference in helping them to expand upon what abilities they have for food tolerance/textures. It was a great bit of information to help me.

I greatly appreciated that you gave one specific example of a client that you referred back to throughout the presentation, including the outcome and later follow-up by the mom. This turns an academic subject into something relatable, which increases my own desire to understand and implement the ideas that were presented. Well done!

I like the supporting course documents and the everyday family example of problems families face each day and the underlying causes. I enjoy having a written resource as situations arise in my practice that will help me make sure I've considered a variety of antecedents and treatment intervention options. I like that the course educates the learner and family that feeding is actually quite complex when done right a professional examines up 32 steps! I'd like to know more about food chaining...
