The instructor was very well-versed in the subject. She gave excellent explanations on the topic and provided great real life examples to further reiterate the content. She also provided easy to learn regulation exercises to use in both our professional and personal lives. Her course was engaging and thought-provoking. One of the best courses I’ve taken on this platform.

Really enjoyed this course. I have taken many mindfulness CEs, but really liked how Tere explained that mindfulness is being in the moment. I feel like many other mindfulness presentations focus so much on breathing techniques that being in the moment gets lost.

I’m not sure how, but I have not heard much about polyvagal theory and it is extremely eye opening! I am signed up for another course in a few weeks that’s a live course on the same topic and I am so looking forward and to it. I think this and self regulation, and movement tactics should be spoken about MORE in schools, as I feel like it was barely touched upon(especially if you plan to focus on PEDS). I love this speaker as well! :)

Self-regulation is such an important part of a healthy, functional lifestyle. And it is so important to address this topic early on with children. This course is a wonderful "tip-of-the-iceberg" overview of the subject area of mindfulness and polyvagal theory which gives clear examples of situations that you will recognize if working with a population that would benefit from this. The instructor gives some good 'quick-hit' treatment strategies while high-lighting the underlying importance of the co-connection with your client and encouraging you to find what works for each person in that moment. Excellent course, I would highly recommend.

Instructor gave real life examples in detail concerning how and why children respond to their surroundings, specifically the "Flight or Fight" response. I am a pediatric COTA and has noticed the increased struggle with focus and anxiety with children especially as they age. This course gave me a lot of insight and how to help my client cope with these feelings.
