This information is so important. There are many OTs who believe that we are confined to insurance dictated practice. If we are to continue to carry this profession in a direction that allows us to practice in ALL areas within our scope, and not just those reimbursed by insurance, we need to think outside-the-box! This is a perfect example of one important way we can do just that. I am in the early phases of social entrepreneurship and now have my business LLC and this course was very useful.

Big wow. My instructors in OT school 22 years ago were telling us about future OT delivery models and how they will need to change, which they were huge proponents of. Most of us don't have the motivation to leave our comfortable lifestyles, I suppose. I work in a rural school district, and I've often though of how my services could be provided more effectively. Just thoughts, I guess. But I'm close to retirement, and though this is more of a volunteer idea than a self-sustaining business, I do have some specific ideas about offering my services differently, and this could lead to change for my successors, who could be on board with my ideas and help implement regular changes (some of these ideas come from seminars given by other school OTs who have changed the service model where they work).
