I loved this course! Everything I learned is very applicable to my clinical practice as a pediatric OT and I imagine the content is equally as relevant to many other areas of practice. Additionally, this course's content is applicable to interactions in everyday life. In my opinion, it provides valuable information and important perspectives to keep in mind during all interpersonal interactions.

While it is exciting to see this topic go in this direction, some pause is warranted. I understand that the person with Autism carries a weight to understand the neurotypical but there is also a weight for the ally. In my opinion it's better to disclose difficulties in these relationships like the neurotypical feeling lonely, possibly having the lion's share of adult responsibilities or ignoring true red flags. These kids grow up; it would be a disservice to leave anyone happy but unequipped.

The reason I selected "moderately" for increasing level of knowledge is because this is my area of expertise. I work clinically with clients in college and in pediatrics, and I also am a consultant for a company addressing neuroinclusion and neurodiversity in the workplace via corporate trainings. I am currently involved in a large project for the biopharmaceutical industry and am conducting a needs assessment for two large corporations to inform our training. This course was excellent!

I found the course to be very interesting and challenging. Virginia is very passionate and this is evident in her speaking and what she chooses to share. I am somewhat overwhelmed with the prospect of incorporating this learning against all the systemic barriers that do exist. I would love to hear more about specific methods or changes to an existing environment/system that benefits all, such as in a classroom. Many thanks for this lecture!!!
