It was so nice that our presenter was from Amsterdam - I love hearing about how other countries approach OT - but it was a little difficult to follow her by listening only - It helped so much to listen and follow the transcript at the same time.

Jantina Kroese-King did a fabulous job giving us the facts about fatigue after cancer, how to identify fatigue symptoms, explaining model energy, energy module & measurement, sleep-cognitive function, & E-health. 2 million new cancer cases got diagnosed in the US in 2023. Cancer's impact is physical, psychosocial, & cognitive well being. There are quality of life and fatigue problems. Many cancer pt's focus on the psychological & social aspects rather than the disease or tx. itself.

I think she did a great job explaining post cancer treatment fatigue and providing evidence based treatment courses and how best to educate patients living with post cancer fatigue. She also explained well the connection between post treatment fatigue and decrease in cognitive function and how it may impact the lives of our patients and how OT can assist.
