"It's not perfect. At least it's something though, right? hEDS we know is the mostprevalent. It's really dependent on that clinical exam, okay? We understand that there'sseveral competing diagnoses that the OT needs to be aware of. That's huge, right? And you know as well as I do, if hEDS is the most common, 1 in every 3-5,000 people,we need better testing. So that's still needed. So again, that's kind of the take homemessage for here. All right, let's jump into more so, and this section .."

WOW! Dr. Scott Cheatham is an excellent presenter and you can tell he KNOWS EDS! He is really in tune with the literature and cares for the patients. He isn’t just looking at the basics and really speaks to the whole patient. I do wish he spoke a bit about Mast Cell Activation Syndrome, MCAS, as that does affect hEDS patients greatly, but none the less he definitely kept within scope of practice. He also knew how to bridge to other professions!

This course was amazing. As someone with EDS I was shocked how comprehensive this course was and how much information Scott was able to present in two hours. I am so glad to see a course becasue so many people today are so uneduacated about hyper mobility and EDS. I loved all the great exercises too , especially the visual one. I highly reccomend this course!

Presenter was excellent and demonstrated a thorough knowledge. I will be looking forward to continued learning in this frequently misdiagnosed and often misunderstood population. I also have a family member who has this diagnosis (I think I might put off the genetic testing for a while), so I found it extremely helpful. Research, research, research; We need more and appreciate the important message of occupational therapy having a strong and solid presence in this area of practice.

Discovering the significance of interconnection between HSD and EDS symptoms; concluding similar aspects between the two is interesting. Which in return may make it challenging to distinguish as a practicioner. Its unbelievable that in 2017 was recent ago and they made adjustments on the classifications of 13 subtypes from symptoms.
