The presentation was heavily focused on the presenter's treatment setting of hospital-based outpatient clinic primarily for NICU graduates. She also spent quite a bit of time at the beginning defining very basic aspects of OT practice which should be familiar to any OT practitioner or student. There was some practical information about interventions, but most of it was not included in her slides, so going back through the transcript of her talk is necessary for that information.

Sometimes felt like she was listing off a bunch of info that was helpful, but the slides didn't have all the info shown. Definitely would help to have more visuals on the slides to make the info easier to digest. Had to pause the video several times to try to catch enough of the info to write down. Overall, it was a good intro to this area, which is what I needed. Thanks!

At times, I had a hard time digesting the slides because of the little writing on each during the assessments breakdown. It would be more conducive to learning if there was an infograph or a chart to compare them all together and with more descriptions. Visuals or videos would enhance the application and treatment interventions as well as explaining more about Kangaroo Care, parent training programs, etc to better understand what those mean in context.

Info was solid with the exception of the concept of Primary Service Providers (PSPs). Our goal as PSPs is to work with families in natural environments, embedding interventions into family routines with families. Outcomes for IFSPs are written in understandable, family friendly terms with family desires being the main factor in developing outcomes. PSPs typically do not bring toys in to the home, and we try not to change PSPs. We use team coaching and sometimes joint visits to support a PSP.

The presentation seemed smooth and well planned. The information was straight forward without being confusing. Many of my thoughts on the learning outcomes were low only because this was a review of information as I have been out of the NICU and infant development for a few years. But I miss it so badly-thank you for the opportunity to hear about it some more!
