This course took a well-balanced holistic view of the many areas that can effect this special population of new mothers, while also providing very specific and practical suggestions. As an OT practitioner who is looking to begin a private practice with a focus on this special population, I feel that the info and suggestions from this course I can create patient education materials and tip sheets, as well as protocols for myself to effectively evaluate and provide skilled intervention.

Being a mom to three ages 5 and under this hits home extra hard and I know I was never properly educated on any of this. After taking this course I actually wonder if a lot of my upper shoulder pain has a lot to do with improper body mechanics when handling my everyday mother duties including picking up kids. This course was extremely detailed and an area that most definitely needs to be addressed in a better manner like it suggests.
