Great suggestions for treatment! Will use the CSI system as a means to assess current level of functioning as it relates to providing a starting place for classroom based goal development with the team, especially targeting the interplay of a child's current environment and their own CSI level. Will help guide my work with the teacher to provide an environment that provides a child the best chance at self regulation and modulated arousal.

The dots are connecting! I can now pinpoint a few of my students stimming behaviors such as licking every surface, to their subconscious Vagus nerve stimulation. I have other student that have serious self injurious behaviors and eloping behaviors. I can now try to determine the structures that are linked to some of their underlying needs in order to provide targeted preparatory activities as well informed consultative services.

Some of the slides were blurry, making it hard to follow and fully understand the levels. At the end of the course I felt that it was rushed and some of the material was not fully explained (daily targets). I felt as though following slide 11, not enough detail was provided. The information is very helpful; however, just felt it was incomplete. If the course was 30 minutes longer, it may allow for more time to explain the last half of the course more in detail.

Great information about how to categorize states of self regulation! If everyone used this method in a setting, it would be super helpful to communicate regarding the child's needs. It would also be great as a measure of progress (though progress is sometimes slow and may only be within 1 level). I wonder if there are steps within each level? Definitely going to look into buying the book.
