This topic was particularly interesting and important to me personally, because I actually had several seizures a few months ago. However, in speaking with and learning from my neurologist, I realized that I have actually been having small, focal seizures for several years. The information presented in this course was very beneficial in learning more about my condition and to be able to provide my family with important safety information.

She had knowledge in many different areas related to epilepsy and seizures. It was helpful how she incorporated OT way of thinking of how to help those with seizures/epilepsy as well as their families. This video was helpful to me as I teach dance to children with many disabilities. A girl had a seizure earlier in the year and now if it were to happen again, I would feel better prepared.

This course was really helpful because it gave clear, practical steps for handling seizures and understanding the risks involved. The information was easy to digest and directly applicable to real-life situations. I especially appreciated the focus on what to do during a seizure and the emphasis on safety, which made me feel more confident in managing these situations. It was also engaging and well-organized, making complex concepts feel accessible.

This course was so interesting and it gave very useful information, in my opinion. I have a couple of students who get seizures occasionally and one student last year who passed away in her sleep during or after a seizure. That was very difficult to lose that student. I wanted to be more familiar with this all as it is a common occurrence in the population.

During my fifteen years of experience as an OT, I have had the unfortunate experience of being with patients experiencing seizures. This was a great refresher course because I assumed I knew exactly what to do when seizures occur. It reinforces the belief that you never stop learning. Information and education are constantly changing and being tweaked. Great course.
