Information was still general and would benefit from greater specificity. Information would benefit from greater evidence-based presentation; Case Study #2 indicated client was T4 ASIA A but in power wheelchair with UE and neck contractures - it sounds more like a C4 SCI.

The presenter referenced more to her specific clinic and what they have available to them, than to what I can do in my setting tomorrow with my patient. It felt more focused on peds, which is good, but not as applicable to where I work in acute care. There was a lot of talk about modalities, but in general OT’s can’t do them without a huge amount of training hours. So I didn’t walk away with a lot of treatment ideas for my adult, acute care patients, but there was good information.

This presentation was very surface level. It was basically a list of assessment and interventions without explanation of how, when or why to implement them specifically. For example: using the vibration, how to facilitate this in a functional way, what specific muscles to use it on. specific examples of pictures for positioning etc.

To me, the course is more introductory than intermediate. The content seemed very general and anecdotal instead of having current articles and evidence to support the content. Many things were included but glossed over. While time is understandably a main factor, including more takeaways and detail could've been more helpful than naming a bunch of things and not explaining. I would've also appreciated more detail in actually how to assess the SCI upper extremity, as per the course title.

It was interesting to learn about neurorehab from the perspective of someone who specializes in this setting and works specifically in this setting. Coming from a home health setting, we do not have the resources available in the specialized setting described in this presentation and it was difficult to provided treatment to this population. I know have some tools to use, a different perspective to fall back on, and have a better understanding of this specialty setting to refer my SCI clients to
