Debra Latour, OT, PP-OTD, MEd, OTR, is the Doctoral Capstone Coordinator and Assistant Professor of Occupational Therapy at Western New England University. Areas of interest are prosthetic rehabilitation, inter-professional collaboration, and program development. She received the COPHS Excellence in Research Award (2019), the COPHS Professor of the Year Award (2020), and the MAOT Catherine Trombly Award (2022). Dr. Latour is the owner/consultant of Single-Handed Solutions, LLC. She graduated from Tufts University/BSOT (BS, 1978), Springfield College (MEd, 2006), and A.T. Still University (OTD, 2018). She is an active member of the Amputee Coalition, ACPOC, AAOP, ATA, AOTA, and MAOT. She is the author of 3 patents in prosthetic technology and method, copyrighted upper limb prosthetic programs, and multiple textbook chapters.
