Brittney Franklin
MS, OTR/L
Brittney Franklin loves kids and interacting with families. She began her occupational therapy career at
Essentia Health Polinsky Medical Rehabilitation Center in Duluth, MN, and went on to challenge herself by working as an occupational therapist in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, the NICU, and Pediatric Behavioral Health.
A life adventure brought her out to Maine which allowed her to further explore the pediatric
occupational therapy world by working in Pediatric Home Health and Pediatric Palliative Care, along with participating in the initial launches of teletherapy-occupational therapy.
The dynamic world of teletherapy continues to be a large part of Brittney’s occupational therapy career, along with supporting her colleagues learning the ins and outs of the teletherapy world. This will be her 9th year as a telepractice occupational therapist and her 12th year practicing in pediatric occupational therapy.
Brittney lives with her husband, Karl, 4-year-old son, Joseph, and their dalmatian mix, Moxie in Duluth,
MN. Joseph is their special guide on the NICU graduate, early intervention, and cutting-edge therapy
journey. He continues to challenge his family (especially his OT mom!) by exceeding expectations with
therapy interventions.
As a family, they spend their time hiking and exploring local nature trails,
spending time on Lake Superior, and baking family recipes. Brittney’s greatest work ambitions are to make sure families and kids feel empowered and encouraged while pursuing therapy interventions. Her life ambitions are to explore the world and most importantly to spend time enjoying adventures with her family.
