I thought the applications were very practical- There's usually a couple of instances throughout the week where I have a patient who can't or won't, for whatever reason, get out of bed. Sometimes, I struggle to come up with things for them to do that aren't fillers but will actually build towards their goals in therapy.

Great practical ideas for engaging patients in exercise and functional tasks. Loved the focus on cognitive overlay and utilizing functional "exercise". As a home health OT I loved all the practical strategies for using "in-home" items for improving strength, balance, etc. The class is "bed-based", but the strategies can be transferred to all areas of rehab at home and returning the patient to their previous level of function.

The test questions were "what didn't you mention" and find a very small specific item in the course. It was difficult to ascertain some questions because it asks "what did the presenter mention" and presenter mentioned all of those things in the discussion. Basically, I liked the course just fine but the test questions were poorly written

This course provided very helpful ideas (especially in acute care hospital) to use with patients who cannot physically tolerate being out of bed due to issues like: BP, vertigo, pain, fear of falls, and/or diagnosis-related fatigue (advanced CHF, cancer...). It's good to know we still have goals to work on with each patients.

Love her style of treatment that 1)Focuses on using tasks instead of repetitive exercises 2) Treatments are progressive -love the 12 Methods of Progression 3)Lots of great terminology to improve documentation 4) Great advise about documentation- addressing in every note safety, sophistication, education and reassessment. Andrea was very easy to listen to, with interesting and easy to follow along content. She gave great visual with her videos.
