Excellent case examples and treatment ideas to use immediately. The cited research studies were also very applicable to the reasoning behind the treatment approach. As OTs with billing requirements, oftentimes, it's easy to drift over to rote exercises, but going back to our roots of task-oriented treatment is what differentiates us from anyone else. This course is a vital reminder to utilize task-oriented and purposeful/motivational activities to engage the patients we see. Thank you so much!

Wonderful lecture Dr. Reimer! Thank you for bringing this knowledge to light and I value what I have learned from this course. My question to you is, if there is similar research/therapy that backs up the utilization of occupation to improve neuroplasticity for those who have acquired a TBI as a result of a traumatic cause (i.e. automobile accident) vs. the non-traumatic causes of strokes you referenced in your lecture. My email is Elissajuskalian@gmail.com.

I did not learn any new, ground breaking information during this hour, but it was a good refresher. I throughly enjoyed all the different treatment ideas, which I will incorporate into my practice. I would prefer to see evidence that was more current, even for the time this was recorded, but overall, this was a nice CEU.

Well, I learned the most current research for the timeline in recovery after a stroke or brain injury is no longer the 6 month to 2 years. Exciting News! The neuroplasticity of the brain is ever changing and therefore gives us much hope as functional & occupation- based intervention / specialist (OTR's).

Seemed like most of the course was presenter giving various interventions that many other presenters give as examples of "new ways" to complete therapy. This is a course more designed for new therapists. Was hoping to have presenter talk more about neuroplasticity during recovery.
