Wow, I have learned so much! I don't work with young children, but I do work with a 14 yr old and a 40 yr old who have similar challenges. I primarily focus on assistive technology to complete school and work-related occupations but am very interested in learning more about vision. I am eager to explore the resources shared as well as take Part 2.

Thought the explanation of Vision Therapy and how it relates to OT was beneficial. Not able to shadow a vision therapist and trying to piece together a good explanation for parents, colleagues, and students. Thank you for that. It is nice to have the transcript available as I often find myself starting and stopping the presentation to write down information that I find useful. Will be helpful to look back at.

I'm fascinated with vision's impact in the school setting. All of this information validated my concerns and the tells me that there is so much more that is needed for the students we see in the school setting. I appreciated the presenter's humility for co-management for these vision conditions and how it is so much more complicated than the referral that a student cannot hold a pencil so they "must" need OT to participate in any handwriting task.
