Noel Guidry received a Bachelor of Health Science Degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Florida in 1997. She obtained a Clinical Doctorate in Occupational Therapy and a Graduate Certificate in Low Vision Rehabilitation from the University of Alabama Birmingham in 2020. She has been granted the AOTA Specialty Board Certification in Low Vision (SCLV) and is also a Certified Low Vision Therapist (CLVT) through the Academy for Certification of Vision Rehabilitation and Education Professionals. She completed an IRB-approved study addressing assistive technology access and use among clients with visual impairment. Her article, An Evaluation of a Clinic-Based Low Vision Device Lending Library, was published in the February 8, 2022, issue of Occupational Therapy in Health Care. She has extensive clinical experience at the Brooks Rehabilitation Hospital in Jacksonville, serving on all units, including traumatic brain injury, stroke, ortho/medical complexity, and spinal cord injury. She has also worked in acute care, skilled nursing, hospice, and neurorehabilitation outpatient settings. She worked for the Brooks Rehabilitation Center for Low Vision from July 2018 to December 2022. Presently, she has transitioned into ownership of a private practice. InSight OT Services and Consulting provides home-based outpatient low-vision occupational therapy in Northeast Florida. Additionally, she serves as adjunct faculty at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in the MOT/OTD residential programs.
